Come See Us This Saturday + What We’re Bringing 🤍

2nd Annual Ridge Homesteading Faire

Hello Reader,

This weekend is our 2nd Annual Homesteading Faire, and I wanted to personally invite you to come spend the day with us. These events always end up being more than just a gathering—they’re a chance to slow down, connect, and learn simple, practical ways to care for your home and family more naturally.

If you’ve been craving that kind of lifestyle (even in small ways), this is such a sweet place to start.

What you’ll find at the faire

We’ll have animals, local vendors, and hands-on learning throughout the day. Some highlights I’m especially excited about:

• FFA students bringing farm animals and sharing what they’ve learned
• Paradise Scapegoats (one of our amazing sponsors!) with their goats
• Local rabbits for a gentle, hands-on experience for kids
• Baby chicks available if you’ve been thinking about starting a backyard flock

It’s truly one of those days where your kids can learn just as much as you do—and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

What I’ll have at our booth

I’m bringing some of our most-used, everyday remedies—the ones I keep stocked in our own home:

Elderberry Syrup Quick Kit (simple, nourishing, and easy to make)
Chest Congestion Syrup (supports drying up mucus in the lungs and post-nasal drip while helping the body clear it out)
Cough & Sore Throat Syrup (soothing and gentle—especially helpful for little ones)
Nourishing Tea (mineral-rich and supportive for everyday wellness)
Kids Nourishing Tea (a milder blend made with growing bodies in mind)

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to get started with natural remedies, I’d love to help walk you through it in person and keep it simple.

In case you missed my latest videos

I recently shared two videos that really reflect the heart behind why we do this:

Modern Homesteading 2026 | Why Families Are Choosing This Life
A look into why we stepped away from the conventional path and chose a slower, more intentional way of living—and what that actually looks like day to day.

Why We Love Azure Standard for Our Family Hello Reader, One of the questions I get asked all the time is where we buy our food for our large family — especially the bulk pantry staples, organic ingredients, fresh milled grain, and harder-to-find items we use for from-scratch cooking. One of our absolute favorite resources has been Azure Standard. If you’ve never used Azure before, it’s a bulk food and natural products company that delivers to local drop locations all across the country. Think...

Plus we’re finally home from our 2-week road trip and sharing what’s next. Hello Reader, We are finally back home after our 2-week road trip, and it feels so good to settle back into garden routines, from-scratch cooking, homemaking, and all the summer projects waiting for us here at home. Before we jump fully into the next season, I wanted to let you know that we’re having an END OF SEASON SALE in the shop while supplies last. These seasonal favorites will not return until August, so now is...

I've teamed up with someone this time! Hello Reader, I wanted to share a new video with you that feels especially true to real life in our home. I’m using fresh-ground flour to make simple breakfasts and snacks—things like waffles, muffins, breakfast cookies, and pizza rolls —all using what I already had on hand—nothing complicated, just the kind of cooking that fits into a full day. 👉 Watch it here: I also teamed up with another fresh-ground flour mama for this, and I love how it came...
