How I’m Preparing for Cold & Flu Season on the Homestead

Hi Reader,

Every fall, as soon as the mornings turn crisp, I start pulling out my herbal remedies and cozy homemaking routines. With a house full of kids, I know how quickly a simple sniffle can spread — so being prepared is key.

This week, I shared a new video where I take you along as I get our homestead ready for cold and flu season. You’ll see me making herbal tinctures, my chest congestion syrup, simmering a pot of bone broth, baking sourdough, and even cutting into a fresh batch of soap. These are the little rhythms that keep our family nourished and comforted through the cooler months.

I also posted a step-by-step blog on making your own cold process herbal soap. It’s one of my favorite ways to combine homemaking and herbal care — gentle on the skin, soothing, and made with natural ingredients you can trust.
