This is how we’re staying well right now

Something simple that’s made winter easier

Hi Reader,

As the days get shorter and the air turns crisp, I find myself slowing down just a bit more—leaning into simple routines that help keep our home feeling warm, grounded, and well. Lately, that’s looked like simmering pots on the stove, herbal tea in well-loved mugs, and choosing gentle nourishment over doing “all the things.”

I wanted to share a few recent pieces with you that I think you’ll really enjoy this season.

First, my newest YouTube video is all about staying healthy in winter in a very real, doable way—simple meals, comforting herbal tea, and anti-inflammatory foods that actually fit into everyday life. Nothing fancy, just what’s been working for our family right now.

You can watch the video here:

I’ve also shared two new tea recipes on the blog that have been on repeat in our house.

The first is my Spiced Orange & Clove Holiday Herbal Tea. This one feels like a hug in a mug—warm, gently spiced, and perfect for slow mornings or cozy evenings. It’s especially lovely during the holidays when you want something festive but still supportive.

You can find that recipe here:

The second is my Apple Mint & Lemon Balm Calm Tea. This is one I reach for when the day feels full and everyone needs to settle a bit. It’s soothing, lightly sweet, and has become part of our evening wind-down routine.

That recipe is here:

Lastly, if you’ve been wanting to make herbal syrups but don’t want to track down all the ingredients, I do have a small batch of syrup kits available in the shop. They’re designed to make the process simple and approachable—just add water and honey, and you’re on your way. These are great to have on hand during the winter months, especially for busy families.

You can browse the syrup kits here:

Thank you, as always, for being here and for supporting this little corner of slow, intentional living. I hope these recipes and resources bring a bit of comfort and calm into your days.

With warmth and gratitude,
