New recipes, herbal remedies, and homestead updates

If you missed the last few months, start here

Hello Reader,

It’s been a little while since my last email (the holidays always seem to sweep everything up in a blur!), so I wanted to send a quick update and share some of the new things we’ve been working on over here.

Between homeschooling the kids, keeping up with the garden and kitchen, and filming when I can, the last few months have been full of simple homestead moments, new recipes, and natural remedy content that I think you’ll really enjoy.

If you haven’t visited the blog or YouTube channel lately, here are a few things you might have missed.

Recent from the kitchen

One of our recent favorites has been an easy apple cinnamon baked oatmeal. It’s one of those simple breakfasts you can mix together quickly, bake once, and feed a crowd with. I especially love using our water-glassed eggs in it and adding chopped apples when we have them on hand.

2026 Pantry Challenge Series

At the start of the year we worked through a full 8-week pantry challenge, focusing on using what we already had in the pantry, cooking from scratch, and stretching ingredients as far as possible.

It turned into a whole series where I shared the meals we made, things that worked well, things that didn’t, and what I learned along the way.

You can watch the entire series here:

Life around the homestead

If you enjoy seeing the everyday side of homesteading, I’ve also shared several new videos showing what life looks like here lately — things like baking bread in the middle of busy days, using up pantry ingredients, grinding fresh flour, and working toward a more self-sufficient kitchen.

These are the kinds of simple rhythms that make such a difference over time.

You can catch up on the latest videos here:

Looking ahead

As we move toward spring, I’ll be sharing more about gardening, planting, growing medicinal herbs, and building a home apothecary with things you can grow yourself.

If that’s something you’re interested in learning more about, stay tuned — there are some fun things coming.

As always, thank you for being here and following along with our little corner of the homestead.

Talk soon,
